Archana
The sudden death of her husband made Archana go into a shock. She was shocked because he was supposed to be discharged from the hospital that very day. Whatever happened a night before was the principal reason for it though Archana told no one about it. Hoping to bring Archana out of shock, Sunita, her mother in law, took her to a psychiatrist named John D’Souza. The first session went strange as Archana tried to portray herself as a bad woman in all possible ways. Their next meeting happened a year later in the form of a job interview. Archana got the job, and one beautiful day John asked her about why she portrayed herself as an evil character in their first meeting. Luckily by then, Archana had regained her sense and was willing to tell her story to him. Though Archana revealed a lot, there was always something she was trying to hide. Her story took a toll on John’s mental health as he consistently struggled to see her as the right person, but her story suggested otherwise. With mistakes leading to deadly consequences, the mysterious Archana Nair, her psychiatrist John D’Souza and an intriguing and mysterious plot, ‘Archana’ is a compelling story to read.

Zorig Chusum Thirteen Crafts of Bhutan
With this book, the birth of an author N.Menerva came to life. After contributing
twenty years to education, an education administrator and a professor,
enlightened with a thought of contributing the knowledge back to the coming
generations, and so this book was apprehended. After blogging successfully for
one year on the world’s rarest crafts, of the countries like Chad, Lichtenstein,
Kyrgyzstan, Syria, and Belarus, Interest was at hype, when started writing for
Bhutan. Bhutan is a lonely land which maintains the highest score of Grand
Happiness Index while following Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion which takes
one to a land spiritual ecstasy. While blogging on Bhutan thirteen crafts, the
inspiration stroked me to convert the knowledge onto a book. Henceforth, a
research paper on Thangka paintings was written and then a book about all the
amazing crafts of Bhutan, famous by the name “Zorig Chusum”. An urge has
emanated to write on these craft descriptively, and preserve the knowledge in the
form of a book wherein, in one glimpse, at one source all the information about
the craft, meaning, raw materials, its essence to Bhutan, and process can be
understood. The book therefore, is an effort of one year of research, to describe
the thirteen Bhutanese crafts, enabling design, fine arts and crafts students to
get all the required information for further research and academic projects. The
content of the book are collected by various means of primary sources from the
Government of Bhutan Associations, National Museum and images clicked while
a personal trip to Bhutan. In detail research was helpful only through secondary
sources, online sites, Archives and library of Royal patronage and Bhutan Textile
museum, Bhutan National Museum, Folk Heritage Museum, Simply Bhutan
Museum, Division of Conservation Architectural Heritage, National Museum of
Bumthang, National Library of Bhutan, Photographs Archive at National Library,
Archive Kuenselonline, Archive Ra online, Socio cultural History of Bhutan
Archive and many other secondary sources bibliographed. The book will prove
as a useful source to design, fine art students and professionals looking forward
for research on Bhutan and various intricate process of many crafts which are
mentioned in this book as part of Zorig Chusum.

This book examines some of the foundational principles that we can begin to apply to our lives immediately. While it is designed for new believers, it is also for most Christians who got stuck at the baby stage due to indoctrination.
It is time for believers to start living in the reality of who we are in Christ. Our Identity in Christ has been restored and revealed; it is time to initiate.

Two Girls, Two Dogs and a Campervan
This debut book inspired by real life follows Mia and J, two struggling tech co-founders, as they hit the road with J’s disabled and aging dogs for a California road trip. Narrated by Mia, an avid outdoorsy-type, the story follows two very different women as they travel through Yosemite, Napa Valley and Big Sur. During the women’s journey together, they not only experience a variety of entertaining and heart-warming ups and downs, they also have moments of self-discovery (and bonding with the dogs, too).
murder on Frank’s Tract
Frank McCabe’s heart exploded, and death immediately followed. He thought he was duck hunting with his friends on Frank’s Tract. The sheriffs report ruled it an accident. The widow didn’t believe the report and hired Peter Gillaspie to investigate. He almost got killed by a bomb and was almost shot but he solved the riddle while maneuvering his way through several sexy women in the process.
The Ballot Farm
Mangaparua was one of the last areas in New Zealand to be opened up.
George Malder and his new bride, Catherine, take up a newly surveyed bush section in the back blocks between Raetihi and the Wanganui River. As a returned World War I soldier George won the right to create a farm with a government grant and the promise of further assistance. They endeavour to establish a home and turn the virgin bush into a productive sheep farm.
They are joined by other discharged soldiers, all of whom battle demons. The community bonds quickly, these friends made for life, accepting each person’s oddities.
Already damaged by the war George struggles to be the man society expects of him. He is stoic in the face of the adversity he experiences daily and he is optimistic in the extreme.
Catherine, bewildered by the isolation, finds strength in her faith in George. Of special consolation to her is Iris, Catherine’s sister-in-law and best friend.
Gender roles are firmly established when the first babies arrive; the men farm and the women keep the home fires burning. There are no options.
The isolation of the fledging settlement challenges them in ways they never expect as tragedy after tragedy unfolds. Omnipotent behind the personal stories is the struggle to turn the land into the farms that the government expect.
George wrestles with feelings of despair as he realises the inadequacy of his efforts. But George is reluctant to sever the ties he’s made with this land.
The book draws on events surrounding the ballot farm scheme in this beautiful back country. Nowhere, in the whole of New Zealand, could it have been so difficult to make a farm.
Seaton’s War
Seaton’s War is a story of love, secrets and lies set in a sleepy New Zealand town in the latter half of WWII. When a Japanese submarine beaches the residents are shocked that the Pacific War has come to them. To some the event brings opportunity for personal gain or for genuine war work. For Kitty Williams it is a chance to prove she can do more for the war effort than knit socks for Red Cross parcels.
Taking a stand against the establishment Kitty teaches the POWs English with the intention of learning enough Japanese to be able to intercept their radio transmissions.
When Kitty makes an unusual find she confides in physicist Dr. Robert Anderson, who operates a direction finder, tracking movements of ships and submarines in the Pacific. But all is not as it seems with the shy academic and Kitty begins to question where his sympathies lie. Too late she realises she has fallen in love with him.
As Kitty immerses herself in her work, her landlady Rowena struggles with the fact that her husband John is incarcerated in German occupied Poland. Rowena’s unorthodox method of dealing with her situation is a source of tension between her and Kitty.
Woven through the book is Kitty’s relationship with her best friend Maybelle who has left Seaton to work for Navy Communications. She provides Kitty with a different slant on the events in Seaton through newspaper clippings and letters, and she regales Kitty about life in the city now the Americans have arrived.
The Pacific War, secret liaisons, the spy game and the quest for liberation in Europe weave seamlessly through Seaton’s War. As Kitty battles for personal recognition she puts her life on the line for love, honour and above all, integrity.
Sri Chakra Yantra – Manifest Anything using the Symbol of Everything
We are fortunate to live at one of most peaceful times in history with the added bonus of leading increasingly comfortable, long and healthy lives. Yet there is a deep sense of dissatisfaction and restlessness in most peoples’ lives as they ask themselves: “Is this all there is to life?”
I have been working as a spiritual healer for more than two decades now and I have come to believe that this ennui and boredom arises out of the complete absence of personal rituals in our modern day lives. Personal rituals, as opposed to community rituals (that serve to offer us a sense of belonging, security and comfort, a feeling of being part of something bigger) are far more important as they give us the ability to find our place in the grander scheme of the Universe.
A personal ritual makes us part of the sacred for it temporarily disengages us from our role in the profane world of humdrum existence and helps us enter into a zone of connecting more closely with the divine.
This book is an endeavour to introduce a personal ritual involving triangular work of Yantra (the geometric pattern of the Sri Chakra as it is considered the mightiest amongst all yantras), Mantra (chanting with specific focus on sounds related to the Sri Chakra) and Tantra (using a specified procedure laid out in a prescribed order).
A personal ritual involving the Sri Chakra can only be embarked upon after gaining a better understanding of its metaphysical aspects which are reflected in the philosophies underlying Shaktism, Tantra, Dasa Mahavidya and Sri Vidya. Once these concepts throw some light on the basis of Sri Chakra worship, we study the nature of sacred geometry and the significance, structure and meaning of the Sri Chakra Yantra. This is followed by two chapters that focus upon the relationship of the human body to the Sri Chakra and the connection of the Pineal Gland to the personal ritual. There is also a brief note on healing and the Sri Chakra.
This is followed by an analysis of the use of sounds in the path to spiritual growth. Special attention is given to the sounds (mantras and stotras) associated with the Sri Chakra Yantra. The next part of the book deals with the role of mudras and contains details about specific mudras that are commonly used as part of the Sri Chakra puja modality. The book then lays out in simple terms the process of the personal ritual and gives details about the initial infusion of energy into the yantra, the method of worship, path to visualisation and meditation on the Sri Chakra.
There has been a huge surge in the popularity of Sri Vidya in recent times and many self-professed gurus are charging huge sums of money to share their knowledge of this esoteric and mysterious subject to eager learners. There are a few books written in English (notable among them are V. Ravi’s “Understanding and Worshipping the Sri Chakra” and S. Shankarnarayanan’s encyclopedic “Sri Chakra”) on the subject but they are aimed at the advanced practitioner and will leave a novice confounded by their profundity and depth.
The author’s main aim writing this book is to offer all the information that a novice is seeking to get him/her on to the practice of Sri Vidya Sadhana and involve in self-learning rather than seek it from external sources. The information is laid out in a non-dogmatic manner keeping in mind practical aspects of modern day living, thereby allowing everyone an opportunity to learn and experience the benefits of the precious Sri Yantra. The process outlined in the book equips the readers with the skills necessary to harness the tremendous cosmic energies available in the Universe and channelize it to make life’s dreams come true.
This book is not meant to be a comprehensive study of the Sri Chakra. In presenting the Sri Chakra Yantra as a tool for self development, the author has kept in mind sensibilities of the modern spiritual seeker, their needs and interests and has desisted from venturing into the realm of mythological references, the inclusion of which would distract and obfuscate from the subject of study.
When a Stranger Comes…
Author Alexa Wainwright vows to do whatever it takes to attain the heady ego-stroking success of her debut. But is she really? Witnessing an out-of-the-blue lightning bolt whose giant tendrils spread over the blue sky and city streets below her loft window, Alexa doesn’t realize just how this vow will be tested as she’s magically transported to an alternate reality. In this universe, the characters from her books are given the breath of life and she meets publisher, King Blakemore, who just might be the Devil himself. At first, she shrugs off her doubts about this peculiar publisher and very lucrative book deal offer because the temptation of riches and refound fame is too strong.
But all too soon, Alexa realizes she’s trapped in an underworld of evil from which she desperately wants to escape. Immediately, she finds herself in an iron-clad book contract that changes its wording whenever she thinks of a loophole. Desperate to get her life back, she devises schemes to untether herself from this hellish existence. She’s also aided by the forces for good who attempt to remove King’s hold on her.
However, King Blakemore is cleverer and more powerful than she or her guardian angels can begin to understand. Playfully, King decides to give Alexa a second chance to save herself from eternity with him and to be free. He offers her the prospect of a rewrite, as most authors do as part of the writing process. Given this chance, will Alexa make the same choices and the same mistakes again?
Alexa’s pact with the Devil is an allegory for the evil lurking in our midst. The social decay of modern society with its excessive greed, the ignorance of our political leaders, and our indifference toward the survival of all species from the effects of climate change, among other environmental pressures, are perhaps brought forth by the darkest forces of human nature.
The Wonderful Journey of Edmund Beasley
Edmund James Beasley II is a writer and a new believer who hasn’t yet come to the realization he needs God’s help. After an incident in college, Edmund develops a phobia about showing his writing to the world and finds employment anywhere he can just to avoid doing so. Still stuck on an old love, he discovers he’s falling for Eleanor Collins, a woman he meets in the most unexpected of places after she contracts a mysterious virus that leaves people looking dead when they really are not.
Add to the mix a conspiracy theory addicted roommate by the name of Dale who believes the earth is flat and claims to know the real reason why the Mexican-U.S. border wall has yet to be completed, and Edmund’s life just got a whole lot more complicated.
This becomes particularly true when Dale discovers a 1800s manuscript while vacuuming and finds it contains plans for a time machine–well sort of anyway. The manuscript belongs to the “Rascal Brigade of the High Sciences” an assembly of prominent scientists and engineers. Since the late 1800s, the Rascal Brigade has been having fun with pseudoscience and conspiracy theories, and they inspire Edmund to write a novel.
But Edmund may get more than inspiration, for the group, coupled with the aftermath of the virus, sets Edmund off on an unexpected journey to catch a killer, for Eleanor’s sake, and to find that he may need God’s help after all.
