Alice, a reincarnation of Lewis Carroll’s character, finds herself transported through time and space to the city of Oxford in the year 1967. She has been summoned to save the world from the evil plans of film director Wendell Whateley (a gentleman with certain Lovecraftian antecedents). Accompanied by fellow dreamer Jack, she visits surreal distortions of several iconic Oxford sites, has a revelatory meeting with a musician called Syd, and after many setbacks succeeds in arranging the Rock Festival in which the power of love and music defeat the forces of evil.
